Job Overview
As a General Livestock Farmer , you will play a key role in managing and caring for livestock, ensuring their health, productivity, and well-being. You will also assist with general farm operations and maintenance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in livestock farming (preferred). Freshers with relevant training may also apply.
- Education: 8th grade or equivalent (minimum). No degree required.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of livestock care, feeding, and breeding practices.
- Ability to operate farm machinery and equipment.
- Strong work ethic and physical stamina.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Language: Basic English proficiency required (beginner level).
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in Italy. Work permits and visas will be provided by the company for international candidates.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and care for livestock, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Monitor livestock for signs of illness or distress and report issues to supervisors.
- Assist with breeding, birthing, and vaccination processes.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Perform general farm tasks such as cleaning barns, repairing fences, and maintaining infrastructure.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient farm operations.
